DIVISIONS OF BAPEX
Apart
from exploration well drilling, Drilling Division
drilled a total of 15. Nos Development Cum Appraisal
well. Most of the Development Cum Appraisal wells
drilled by this division under bilateral contract
with BGFCL & SGFL. In the year 1987 this division
drilled first oil discovery well Sylhet # 7 of SGFL
at Sylhet district.
Several
directional wells drilled by this division with the
help of directional drilling services company from
abroad.
At
present (April 2007) drilling division continuing
the deviation well drilling of Kailastilla # 6 with
the help of Smith Drilling Systems Ltd. Preparation
for drilling of Habigonj well # 11 of BGFCL is going
on.

Well planning, designing,
drilling program is done by this division.
Drilling division has group of skilled manpower
for both mechanical and hydraulic set liner
hanger setting engineers, Casing service
engineers, Coring engineers and Rig
Instrumentation Services Engineers.

Own manpower conducting all sorts of tubular
inspection with its tubular inspection unit.

Repair, maintenance and redresses of Drilling &
fishing jars are being done by its own
manpower. This division provides Drilling and
Work over consultancy services to BGFCL & SGFL,
state owned gas Production Company of
Bangladesh.
Drilling division provides
work over and recompilation service to its own
and other gas fields companies of PETROBANGLA as
a contractor using its own work over rig.
Drilling division have 13 supervisor and driller
level with valid IWCF licensed professional. Most of
the DS, tool Pusher and Drillers under gone several
professional training at home and abroad.
Drilling Division operates 2 skid mounted deep
drilling rig and 1 work over rig. To meet its
drilling & work over activities, procurement of 1
deep drilling rig & 1 work over rig is under
process.
At Present the following rig are in operation by
drilling division to different Projects.
